Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. A new standalone railway, this 21st-century network will deliver 31 metro stations and more than 65km of new metro rail for Australia’s biggest city – revolutionising the way Sydney travels.
The METRON team, comprising of a joint venture between Arcadis and Mott MacDonald, was engaged by Sydney Metro for the Underground Stations and Design and Technical Services package. This involved developing the Stage 1 (preliminary design) for five underground stations and the portal and stabling facilities for the City and Southwest.
ARCH Services was engaged for:
-
Safety Assurance Tuan Hoang, supported by Colin McCrorey, was fully responsible for planning and executing the Safety Assurance for the Stage 1 design.
-
Configuration Change Management John Armstrong managed the Configuration Change Board approval process. Acknowledged as amongst the best submissions received by Sydney Metro, the presentation of the assurance argument to the CCB led to first-time approval of all underground station packages.
-
Requirements Management John Armstrong and Aaron Bik assisted in the both the evidencing of design compliance to the Scope and Performance Requirements (SPR) as well as the flow through of SPR requirements into the Scope of Work and Technical Requirements for each of the station D&C contracts.
